Chalo School
In Rural Schools in Karnataka, students struggle to learn and teachers struggle to teach. Modern Education ceases to exist in these schools as teachers are left with old textbooks, 0 digital tools and dried up markers to teach their kids. The students come to school without a notebook, a pencil or even footwear for that matter.
The persistent lack of access to quality education for over 6 million children in India is a direct consequence of poor infrastructure, poor learning environment, not highly educated teachers and the absence of basic necessities such as notebooks, stationery, and footwear.
This stems from inadequate funding and corruption in education schemes, where allocated resources are misused. The root cause lies in the political system's prioritization of short term measures over long term educational investments, driven by an electorate that, due to systemic poverty and lack of awareness, votes based on immediate needs rather than sustainable reforms. This creates a self-perpetuating cycle where poor education sustains poverty, further diminishing the focus on education as a priority.

The Raahat Smart Learning Program will provide computers, whiteboards, posters and interactive learning tools in schools, enabling teachers to track student data, teach and plan lessons effectively, and incorporate digital resources into their teaching. To ensure usability, educators will undergo digital literacy workshops(tied directly to the Performance Based Teacher Training Model), where they will learn how to leverage technology for lesson planning, tracking and teaching.
-
Alongside this, Teacher Training Workshops will ensure that educators receive continuous development tied to career benefits. Teachers will participate in weekend training sessions of 2 hours every weekend, undergo mandatory assessments every three months, and be incentivized through performance based career advancements, where we can tie up with other educational institutes or companies to facilitate it.
